Why are you here?:I completed my degree in Graphic Design but always knew that I wasn’t going to become and Graphic Designer. During my degree it was the way the project ran that interested me, the people taking part, the external suppliers, the impact. I came out of university split between design and management trying my hand at both and seeing what stuck, but they didn’t. I had a degree in design and I knew I was good at it and I could get a job but It wasn’t right. I knew I suited management but I wasn’t ready to go back to university to study it just yet, so in my head I put it off for a few years. I has just started a design role when I had a very casual conversation about the transition from design to project management with my current employer who ‘kind of’ need a project manager and I expressed that I was ‘kind of’ thinking about project management and from there I slowly crossed over and gained my job title. I am working in a role I love in an Industry I love and I feel I am doing a whole new course everyday, learning about project management with my agency. A masters seemed inevitable at the beginning of all this, now I feel like I already have one. Maybe a crash course in accounts will help though.
